Aaliyah Zolina learned to dance before she could walk or even speak. The term “learned” is generous, as she was born with a natural understanding and excitement for using her body as an instrument, telling stories with her movements. Aaliyah was born and raised in Orange County, California, training at several schools of dance. As she rose up in the ranks and age, her training was focused between Westside Dance Project and West Coast School of the Arts.

Aaliyah received a diverse dance education at OCSA, Orange County School of the Arts, training in the Classical and Modern conservatory for a few years until transitioning into the Ballroom Conservatory. After expanding her artistic repertoire in these two conservatories, she graduated in 2019 from the Commercial Dance conservatory. Throughout her formative years, Aaliyah traveled the convention circuit, assisting 24seven dance conventions and learning under renowned creatives, such as Andrew Winghart, Jess Hendricks, Tyce Diorio, Billy Bell, Marguerite Derricks, Tessandra Chavez and many more.

After graduating from OCSA, Aaliyah packed her bags and moved to the Big Apple, embarking on her next journey at Pace University in New York City. Majoring in Commercial Dance, Aaliyah has gained unparalleled experience and training both within and outside of her university. She’s had the opportunity to attend classes at many major New York studios, such as Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Riply-Grier studios, and Brick House to name a few.

Aaliyah is not simply a dancer, but a true artist. She is a diverse and well-rounded dancer, with a background and skill set in various different styles. Her talents reach far and wide, and she's only just begun. As she approaches graduation from Pace University in the spring of 2023, she cannot wait to tackle her next adventure and forge a career in the thing she loves most. Aaliyah and dance are star-crossed lovers, destined to find one another. What can she say, it’s her first love. Grateful for the opportunities she’s had, and eager for the next step, Aaliyah will bring blood, sweat, tears, laughter, and everything in between when she hits the floor.
